CONYERS -- A woman was taken to an Atlanta hospital for treatment of injuries following a crash Friday afternoon at the intersection of Ga. Highway 212 and Smyrna Road.
According to Sharon Webb of Rockdale Fire and Rescue, the accident occurred at around 12:30 p.m. Friday. A 46-year-old woman was driving south in a Plymouth sedan on Smyrna Road and was turning left onto Ga. 212. As she was making the turn a GMC van driven by a man T-boned the Plymouth on the driver's side.
The woman was transported by ground to Atlanta Medical Center by National EMS. The man, who's age was not available, was treated at the scene of the crash.
Rockdale County Sheriff's Office deputies also arrived at the scene. Charges were pending after the investigation of the crash.
