She worked in the accounting department at the downtown Sears store for 18 years before going to work in the Decatur dental office of Dr. Bobby C. Brooks. She retired from the dental office after 26 years of service. Marilyn and family joined Glen Haven Baptist Church in 1966 and participated in many missions and church programs. She loved to decorate and her eye for style and class can still be seen around the church. Her retirement years with Ansley were happy where they traveled and continued to participate in missions. Four and a half years ago she began her cancer fight with great strength and is a model of joy in the Lord. Marilyn had and innate sense of dignity and grace, and we look forward to the day we see her again. Those who wish may sign the guest registry at www.cannonclevelandfunerals.com.
