Dorothy Louise Barncord of Conyers, GA died Friday December 30, 2011 at Emory University Hospital due to complications from an Aortic Blood clot. She was born on October 19, 1926 in Waynesboro, PA to Norman and Edna Berger Bingaman. During her 52 years in Jacksonville, Fl., she enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and gardening. Her extended family at Famous Amos Restaurant brought her great joy and much fellowship in her years before her move to Conyers. She finally found the “Golden Years” that she had dreamed of at Remington House in Conyers, Ga. Thanks to her special friend Ed Bingham, she labeled herself as a “Giddy Sixteen year old in an eighty-five year old body!” At her passing she was surrounded by family and friends. Mrs. Barncord is survived by daughters Barbara Nutt of Alachua Fl, Jennifer Sibert, Conyers, GA, Cathy Reardon of Stockbridge, Ga; grandchildren Lena Ward, Christy Medlock, Keith Reardon, Becky Scott, Brittany Carter, Candi Lobenstein; seven great grandchildren; step-sisters Christine Pentz, Priscilla Hess. She is preceded in death by husband Norman F. Barncord, her son Fredrick Randall Barncord who died in November, parents Norman Bingaman and Edna Berger Bingaman, step-mother Virginia Bingaman, and her beloved black lab, Annie. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday January 4, 2012 in the Main Dining Room at Remington House in Conyers, Ga.
