ATLANTA (AP) -- Forecasters are predicting a moderate risk of severe storms for parts of north Georgia -- including the possibility of tornadoes -- as a large weather system pushes into north Georgia.
The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook, which said the storms could hit Georgia Wednesday evening.
Forecasters say the main threat will be damaging winds, but isolated tornadoes are possible.
Also, officials say it's possible that a strong tornado could develop in the part of north Georgia which is most at risk of severe weather. That area is north of a line from Summerville to Ellaville to Hiawassee.
