Herbert Cousin, also known as “Pete or Cuz”, age 85, of Stockbridge, died Monday, February 20, 2012. He served his country in the U.S. Army for 23 years during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. After his military retirement, he went to work for Fulton County as a carpenter where he retired after 23 years of service. He was a member of Rockland United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing his guitar at pickin’ barns. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Martha Cousin; son, Herbert Cousin, Jr. of Fountain, FL; sister-in-law, Mary Cousin of Yorktown, VA; brother-in-law, Albert Henry of Lady Lake, FL; nieces and their husbands, Edith and Eugene Kimbrell of Boiling Springs, SC, Carol and Donald Waldorf of Toano, VA; nephews, Jimmy Waters and wife Janet, Leroy Waters all of Spartanburg, SC; 6 grandchildren; several great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 1 o’clock, Thursday, February 23 in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Rev. John Donaldson officiating. Interment will follow at Union United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Rockland UMC, 6747 Rockland Rd., Lithonia, GA 30038.
