NORCROSS — Five people were killed at a Norcross spa late Tuesday night in what police believe was a murder-suicide.

Norcross police were called to the scene at the Su Jung Health Sauna at 6005 Buford Highway at about 8:40 p.m. Specific details were sparse late Tuesday, but spokesman Capt. Brian Harr said that four victims were found deceased inside, and that another was rushed to Gwinnett Medical Center before being pronounced dead.

Harr said police believe the incident may have been “domestic-related” but did not release any identities of those involved. A weapon was recovered inside the spa and police believe one of the deceased, a male, was also the shooter.

“We’re not looking for anyone right now,” Harr said.

Tuesday’s events pushed the murder count within Norcross city limits to six in February alone. The alleged robbery-motivated killing of 15-year-old Nick Jackson on Feb. 4 was the first homicide in Norcross in more than two years.

Murder charges against six suspects accused in Jackson’s death were bound over to Gwinnett County Superior Court on Feb. 10. Police believe the men kicked in the basement door of Jackson’s Autry Street home, shooting him through the heart before making out with about $19,000.

The men were caught shortly down the road after Jackson’s sister identified their van to a 911 operator.

Jackson’s murder followed Jan. 31, one of the bloodiest days in recent Gwinnett history. Six total people were shot that day — three fatally — in separate incidents in Buford and Lilburn.
