She's believed to be a cattle dog-mix and not yet a year old. She was picked up as a stray and will weigh bout 40 pounds when fully grown. Look for her on petfinder.com. She can be rescued and adopted at Rockdale County Animal Care and Control Shelter at 1506 Rockbridge Road in Conyers. At the Rockdale shelter adoption fees for dogs are $30 and $20 for cats. Spaying or neutering is required for adoption. The shelter is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The phone number is 770-278-8403.

He's a black and gray terrier-mix who will probably weigh about 60 pounds as an adult. He's looking for a good home and can be rescued and adopted at Newton County Animal Shelter, located at 210 Lower River Road in Covington. The shelter usually has between 20 to 30 dogs and an equal number of cats eligible for adoption. The adoption fee for a dog or puppy is $25 and $10 for a cat or kitten. Spaying/neutering is mandatory for all animals. The shelter is open from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The phone number is 770-786-9514. Anyone who has lost a pet is urged to go to the center and bring a photo of the missing animal.
