Covington Pizza Hut employees robbed at gunpoint

COVINGTON — Pizza Hut restaurant on U.S. Highway 278 was robbed Monday night at closing time by two men, according to the Covington Police Department.

“An employee stated that he was surprised by two black males as he exited the back door to dispose of garbage,” CPD Public Information Officer Capt. Ken Malcom said. “This witness stated that one of the suspects cocked an unknown caliber handgun and threatened him, (telling him) not to look at either of the suspects.”

Malcom said the suspect then removed the victim’s belt and tied his hands behind his back. He was then escorted back into the restaurant and ordered to get on the floor.

“Once inside the store, the suspects ordered several other employees to the floor, tied each up and took cash and cellphones from each employee,” Malcom said.

He said the suspects attempted to make entry into the restaurant’s safe and also attempted to steal one of the victim’s vehicle, but was unsuccessful with each attempt.

The two suspects fled on foot. Witnesses were able to give a description of only one suspect who is described as a black man, 6 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 260 to 300 pounds, and wearing a black ski mask, blue sweatshirt and grey pants.

She agreed to make the trip and one of the females got into the backseat of her vehicle where she kept her purse. When they got out, the victim discovered $300 in cash had been stolen from her purse. There are no suspects in this case which is still under investigation.

The description is almost the same for robberies in this area. Get a job stop this culture of violence and mayhem my brothers and sisters. Its a shame the employees at Pizza Hut did not shoot and kill these two thugs right on the spot. Thugs that want to live the gangster thug loser lifestyle need to see what they are bringing on the good black people in the area. Black leaders need to step up the game and denounce this activity but they do not. People act civilized we are in America now not Africa so act like a normal human if you can.
