Georgia's Anne Marie Armstrong, a Wesleyan grad, was named the Southeastern Conference's women's basketball player of the week on Monday, a day after scoring a career-high 23 points in a win over Vanderbilt.
Armstrong made 11 of 16 shots in Sunday's victory while playing a career-best 40 minutes. She leads the Bulldogs in scoring (13.8) in SEC play, while also leading UGA overall and in SEC play in rebounding, assists, steals and blocked shots.
