Mr. Robert J. McCart, age 82 of Conyers, a retired Tool and Die maker, died Thursday, February 9, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce Stallings McCart; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Joyce McCart, Tim McCart, Tommy and Melissa McCart; daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Ronnie McCart; grandchildren, Bobby McCart, Gretchen and Robert Denio, Kevin and Jill Harwell, Jason and Chanda Harwell, Kimberly McCart, Laura McCart, Dana Miller; great-grandchildren, Payton Denio, P.J. Denio, Nolan Harwell, Amelia Harwell, Kailey Nelson, Chase Miller, Alyssa Miller, Trinity Miller; sister, Ruby Nell Brooks. Robert and Joyce were married in Lawrenceville on August 5, 1950. He retired from Evans Tool and Die in 1994 and served in the United States Army for 2 years. He was of the Christian faith and served as elder in the Christian Church for 20 years. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 4 p.m. at Scot Ward’s Green Meadow Chapel with Pastor Robert Raynor officiating; interment will follow at Hillandale Memorial Gardens.
