Gerald Hughes, age 68, of Conyers, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Horis A. Ward’s Rockdale Chapel at 2:00 pm, with Father John Kieran officiating. Inurnment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park, in Covington. A native of Henderson, TN, Mr. Hughes was a US Navy Veteran and worked as a carpenter for the Local Union 225. He is survived by: his wife, Norma “Kay” Hughes; step-children, Lisa Losurdo, Steve Bledsoe, Dennis Bledsoe, Dana Bledsoe; 10 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren; brother, John K. Hughes, II, Bobby Hughes, John K. Hughes, Jr.; sisters, Ruth Ann Mitchell, Carol Curry, and Cindy Dixon; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Ronald Hughes. The family will receive friends Saturday, from noon to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered at www.horisawardrockdalechapel.com. Horis A.
