Claudia Henderson Brown age 96, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012. She was born in Blanche, Alabama to the late Veldora Dayton & Ovie Isobel McRae Henderson. She was a resident of Chickamauga, GA for over sixty years and had resided with her daughter in Conyers, GA for the past several years. She had worked for Trion Cotton Mills and Crystal Springs Mill in Chickamauga, GA. She was a longtime member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Chickamauga, GA where she was the librarian and took care of the nursery for thirty four years. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Reverend Thomas Avril Brown, daughter: Nancy Maxine Waters, sisters: Kathleen Baggett, Wilma Parker, Edith Henderson, brothers: Clifford Henderson, Robert L. Henderson. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Anita & Harold Christian of Conyers, GA, son and daughter-in-law: Billy & Katherine Brown of Marietta, GA, sister: Ruth Brannon of Centre, Al, eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday morning until the service. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am - Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Reynolds officiating.
