The Dawgs for JT Committee will host a fundraiser today at the Buckhead Theatre for former University of Georgia baseball player Johnathan Taylor, who was paralyzed in a 2011 outfield collision. All proceeds will benefit Taylor, who is in rehabilitation and is back in classes at UGA.
The event begins at 8 p.m. with live music by the Kurt Thomas Band and DJ Jobe. A hosted bar is open from 8 to 9 p.m., followed by a cash bar. Tickets are $25 at the door and donations also are accepted online at DawgsforJT.com. For more information, email stowerschris@yahoo.com.
Taylor and his family will attend the fundraiser.
