ATLANTA — A wind advisory covering most of Georgia warns of strong winds expected to develop Thursday night and continue through Friday.
The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says the advisory will be in effect from 6 p.m. Thursday through 7 p.m. Friday for a large swath of the state. It includes the cities of Dalton, Rome and Buford in the north. It includes all of metro Atlanta and Macon and extends into south Georgia, including cities such as Americus, Dublin and Vidalia.
Winds in the region are expected to range from 15 to 25 mph, with gusts of up to 35 mph.
