Bill and Sue Hodges of Mansfield are opening their home Sandtown Place for a Christmas Tour, the proceeds from which they will use to benefit lung cancer victim Bitsy Robbins and her family. Here, Bill Hodges is kept busy making sure the decorations are in place for the expected tour guests on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. Also, the home is on the Social Circle Candlelight Tour from 4-9 p.m. on Saturday and donations for the Robbins family can be made at the home at that time. Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased at the door. A new addition to the antebellum raised cottage home this year is a plantation-style kitchen with furnishings from the 1840s. Period antiques grace rooms throughout the home. Bitsy Robbins, 49, has stage 4 cancer and she and her husband Tommy are the parents of twin 12-year-old daughters. The gorgeous Sandtown Place is located at 365 Hodges Circle in Mansfield and will be fully decorated for an antebellum Christmas when toured this weekend.
