COVINGTON -- A lone gunman robbed and tied up the female clerk at South of the Square Storage at 6177 Monticello St. around noon Tuesday, according to the Covington Police Department.
The robber is described as a black male about 25 to 30 years old with a stocky build. He was wearing a black hoodie, black shorts and black tennis shoes with red shoe strings.
CPD Public Information Officer Ken Malcom said the man entered the establishment with a silver handgun.
"He pointed the gun at the victim and demanded money from the till," Malcom said. "He then demanded she give him her personal cell phone and the jewelry she had on. He got that and tied her up and left the store."
Malcom said the clerk was unharmed during the incident.
The CPD is asking anyone who may know this person or who saw anything that may be related to the robbery to call them at 770-786-7605; go to their website at www.covingtonpolice.com; or use the mobile to mobile app called tipsubmit.

You can most likely find him at the liquor stor across the street. Everytime I ride by there all I see are able bodied men wasting their life away brown bagging a can on malt liquor. GET A JOB AND EARN YOUR OWN MONEY AND STOP THE ROBBERIES, BE A MAN. Black thug in a hoodie its always the same description. Please come to my business and try this garbage and they will not have to look any further than the floor and they dont need to hurry because you wont be going anyplace.

Being terrorized at gunpoint is not "unharmed."
