Leissa -- George
Jacquelyn Elizabeth Leissa and Joshua Lee George were married May 4 in Auburn, Ga. The Rev. George Zimmerman, the groom's grandfather, officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Angela Leissa of Covington. She is a graduate of Putnam High School. She is attending Queen's University of Charlotte, where she plans to earn a degree in elementary education.
The groom is the son of Travis and Jennifer George. He is a graduate of Newton High School. He is employed with AirTight Mechanical Inc.
Emily Leissa of Covington, twin sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor. Jenna Lawson and Kelli Hardy, both of Covington, served as bridesmaids. Brooklyn Milatz of Charlotte, N.C., served as the flower girl.
Travis George, brother of the groom, who is serving in the military and is stationed in Missouri, served as the best man. Greg Crumpton of Charlotte and Eli Stevens of Athens served as groomsmen. Timmy, the couple's pet dachshund, served as the ring bearer with Clay Johnson of Covington acting as Timmy's keeper.
After a honeymoon cruise to Key West, Jamaica and Grand Cayman, the couple resides in Clover, S.C.
