Piedmont Academy senior Briana Bailey was recently awarded the Atlanta chapter 2012 National Wild Turkey Federation Academic Scholarship. David A. Wamer IV presented the scholarship to Briana at the Newton County FFA Banquet. Applicants were judged on academics, leadership and community service. Briana will now advance to the state and possibly the national levels, where the National Wild Turkey Federation will present two more scholarships. Bailey is the daughter of Loren and Rebecca Bailey of Monticello.
