Newton County Reads Executive Director Paryn Wallace (center) recently accepted an award on behalf of the program for its accomplishment in increasing the number of GED graduates. The award was given during the Certified Literate Community Program (CLCP) Conference in Amicalola Falls. Congratulating Wallace on the Newton County literacy program's accomplishment were Assistant Commissioner of the Technical College System of Georgia Beverly Smith (left) and Executive Director of CLCP Billie Izard.
