Getting their feet wet Mom and Dad proudly introduce their cobs and pens (baby boy and girl swans) to the water not long after their birth on March 29. Eight-year-old Mom, a/k/a Muriel (right) and 6-year-old Dad, a/k/a Steven have had three clutches (family of swans) born at the home of Ben Dameron and Ralph Miller of East Street, who say they find the swans peaceful to watch, especially at sunset when they float along in a classic straight line. This clutch contained seven cygent (a group of young or baby swans) and so far no predators have broken up the happy family. - Staff photo by Sue Ann Kuhn-Smith
