Letter: Rockdale Medical deserves high praise

I am writing this letter in sheer praise of everyone within the hospital that was instrumental in the care of my wife, Brenda Minkoff.

I brought my wife to the hospital emergency room on March 16 at approximately 4 p.m. She had been complaining of severe abdominal pain, lack of eating, nausea, no energy, etc. We were for the past two weeks under the care of her primary physician running test after test to no avail, not for his lack of trying.

Numerous tests were performed within the ER and after these tests were performed, the decision from the hospital was to have her admitted. She was admitted and in a room by 1 a.m. on March 17. We took her home on March 28.

I just want to commend as highly as possible each and every member of your hospital for the outstanding care my wife received while in the hospital. I do not recall all the wonderful staff's names that were instrumental in her care, but I would greatly appreciate you finding out all their names and telling them from us of how fantastic her stay was made even after her diagnosis of Stage 4 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Even on my wife's birthday, March 25, which she spent in the hospital, the staff took the time to have a birthday card signed and given to her.

In closing, I would like to say thank you for your wonderful hospital and staff that made my wife's stay as pleasant and comfortable as humanly possible.

We do have her home with a totally positive attitude that we are going to beat this and she will have many more years to look forward to.

If it is not too much trouble, could you possibly distribute this letter to all parties involved on the third floor including all the doctors (not to forget the oncologist Dr. Richard Carter) so that they receive the recognition they so greatly deserve.
