Tyler Austin may remember for a long time his first series of the 2012 baseball season.
The former Heritage standout, now playing for the New York Yankees' Single-A minor league affiliate Charleston RiverDogs, had an RBI-triple off Atlanta Braves all-star Tim Hudson, who was making a rehab start for the Rome Braves, in Charleston's 2-1 victory last Saturday.
Austin, who had an excellent first full season in the Yankees' organization last season, went 1-for-6 in the first two games of the series, batting cleanup and playing right field, then sat out Game 3.
Charleston began a three-game series with Augusta (Georgia), the San Francisco Giants affiliate, Monday.
