Covington James Wilson is headed to Las Vegas. Wilson, a Covington resident, is one of 108 amateur bowlers who will compete in the National In-League Tournament finale to be held in Las Vegas April 27-28. More than 25,000 AMF league bowlers entered the 2012 National In-League Tournament, but only 27 bowlers from each of the four divisions made it to the finals.
Wilson, who qualified out of more than 150,000 that competed nationwide, will bowl in an elimination-style format that spans four rounds and two days of competition. The bowler in each division with the highest pins-over-average score or closest to average will walk away with the record-breaking purse of $50,000.
Every national finalist will receive prize money, ranging from $25,000 for second place to $250 for each bowler finishing in 17th-to-27th place.
