The Atlanta Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) will present the Second Annual Tour of Remodeled Homes, Oct. 1 and 2. Homes throughout metro Atlanta that have been remodeled by NARI member organizations will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Metro Mechanical of Conyers, which provides heating and cooling systems for homes and commercial buildings, and Home Depot will present the tour. NARI is a professional organization for members of the remodeling industry.
The eight homes on the tour are located in Roswell, Dunwoody, Marietta, Vinings, Brookhaven and Sandy Springs. Short descriptions and photos can be seen at www.atlantaremodelingtour.com.
"The tour will feature homes with new kitchen and bath renovations, lush landscapes, outdoor living areas and major home additions, including one home with a new indoor pool," said Lou Alvarado, NARI president. "This year we have expanded the tour to two days, to make it easy for attendees to visit the homes they are most interested in seeing."
Proceeds from the tour benefit the ALS division of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The ALS division offers comprehensive services for those suffering from Lou Gehrig's Disease, and conducts research for treatment or cure of ALS.
Tour tickets will be available for purchase at www.atlantaremodelingtour.com or at the 2011 Fall Atlanta Home Show, Sept. 23 and 25, 2011 at the Cobb Galleria Centre.
Attendees may visit the homes in any order, and will be able to download a map from the NARI website. The tour will be held rain or shine.
