The Newton Fund of The Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta is ready to accept applications for the 2011 Grant Program.
The fund is awarding grants through a competitive process to help qualified non-profit 501c3 organizations meet the changing needs of the Newton community. The Newton Fund receives grant proposals and following a three-step process of evaluation awards grants based on identified community needs and merit of proposals received.
Grants are awarded for general operating support of non-profits, in amounts of up to $5,000 for a one-year period.
Non-profits interested in applying for a grant may attend an online orientation at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22. To register, visit http://www.cfgreateratlanta.org/Community-Initiatives/Counties/Newton.aspx.
The deadline to submit a letter of intent to apply is Friday, Sept. 30. To learn more, visit www.cfgreateratlanta.org.
