Firefighter Clay Boggs cleaning the front window of one of the fire trucks at the Covington Fire Station Tuesday afternoon.
Covington Fire Department firefighters are doing their Tuesday chores -- cleaning up the fire trucks. But this week, their chores are especially important as they prepare for an open house Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Covington Fire Department Headquarters on Pace Street to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorists attacks in New York. The public is invited to tour the fire house, ask questions and see all the equipment. Above, Lt. Donnie Tudor makes sure the grill is spick and span on this truck. Right, firefighter Clay Boggs cleans a windshield.
