C.D. Milner of Jackson, passed away October 19, 2011, at the age of 89. C.D. was a veteran of the United States Navy, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #84, in Lithonia. He enjoyed flying, and would make frequent trips to Florida to fish. C.D. was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia Eloise (Smith) Milner; and his parents, Charles Druey and Willie Mae (Lee) Milner. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Melvin E. and Vicky Milner of Jackson, David and Patricia Milner of Rutledge; 4 grandchildren, Angela Bryan, Troy Milner, Scott Milner, Randy Milner; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Johnson, Ada Morgan, both of Covington, Aileen and Glen Lee of OK; brother and sister-in-law, Vester and Hazel Milner of Columbus, GA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral Services for Mr. Milner will be held Saturday, October 22, 2011, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Green Meadow Memorial Gardens.
