Special Photo: The annual Miss Sweetheart Relay Pageant on October 9 brought more support for Relay for Life. Contestants were judged on beauty, dress, smile, hair and photogenic qualities. Among the contestants, who were grouped into nine divisions, a Miss Spirit Relay was chosen for raising the most money for Relay. - Proceeds from the pageant and donations collected by contestants totaled $2,858 this year to benefit Relay, the American Cancer Society's primary fundraiser. The young ladies who won will participate in the Covington Christmas Parade, Newton County Relay 2012 and other public events throughout the year. The winners are: - Baby Miss: Caralie Pressley; Toddler Miss: Zoe Marks; Wee Miss: Kaylie McDonald; Little Miss: Adyson Hales; Young Miss: Kelsey Ellis; Pre-Teen Miss: Clara Arienzo; Teen Miss: Gina Sewell; Junior Miss: Alex Turcotte; - Miss: Lindsey Davis; and Miss Spirit: Jade Cofer. The queens are all pictured, along with Pageant Director and Ms. World Universal Woman 2011 Beth Bradley.
