The Georgia Force are asking their fans if they're ready for some Monday night football.
That's because the Arena Football League franchise will kick off their nine-game home slate for the 2012 season with a rare Monday night appearance at the Arena at Gwinnett Center when the Cleveland Gladiators come to town March 12.
The Gladiators are one of five playoff teams to visit the Arena this season, including the South Division champion Jacksonville Sharks, who eliminated the Force in the American Conference championship game this summer en route to the Arena Bowl XXIV title and come to Arena for one of two rematches June 9.
"It'll be an electric atmosphere all season long, starting with the opener (against Cleveland)," Force president Cory Howerton said in a statement released by the team Thursday. "Monday night is football night. To be able to open the season on a Monday night with a playoff rematch, it gives you chills just thinking about it."
The Force follow up the home opener against Cleveland with two straight road games at Tampa Bay on March 16 and at Jacksonville on March 24.
The Force's home schedule also includes games against Philadelphia, Chicago, National Conference champion Arizona, Tampa Bay, New Orleans and Orlando.
Six of those games will take place on Saturdays, while two more are on Sundays, with kickoff times still to be determined.
