CONYERS -- An employee of a West Avenue car title finance office was robbed of the business' bank deposit bag Monday morning after she was physically accosted in the parking lot.
The robbery occurred at 10:30 a.m. at Title Max, located at 1203 West Ave., Conyers when the employee was walking to her car with a bank deposit. According to Conyers Police Lt. Jackie Dunn, the robber walked up behind the woman and forced her against the car.
"She was not hurt," Dunn said. "She was pushed up against the car where he wrestled the bag away from her. He did not display a weapon. He just verbally and physically demanded the money.
The suspect took the bag and got into a silver or gray newer model, small passenger car parked near the Piggly Wiggly store. Dunn said there was another individual driving the car. The suspects were last seen in the car and heading toward Interstate 20.
The robbery suspect was described as a medium complexion black male of medium build, around 5 feet, 11 inches tall. The suspect was described as wearing a long-sleeved green jacket, dark pants, sun glasses and dark hat, Dunn said.
Also, the bank deposit was being carried in a blue, reusable Walmart shopping bag with "Thrive" written on the side.
