The Heritage girls got a big night from Sierra Crosson in a 52-28 blowout win over Eagle's Landing on Tuesday. Crosson, a junior post player, nearly out-scored the host Eagles, scoring 22 points and adding 12 rebounds. With both Aujana Dawkins and Breanna Mitchell out with injuries, Heritage coach Chris Pennamon is hoping Crosson can continue to stand out.
"Dawkins still is out, Mitchell is out right now, so she's pretty much put us on her back," Pennamon said of Crosson. "She's developed quite well on both sides of the block, so we're looking for big things for her." Shanique Heard added 15 points for the Patriots, who improved to 2-3. Seminoles win again The Salem girls remained unbeaten with a 43-28 victory over Woodland (Henry) on Tuesday. Freshman sensation Ayanna Mitchell and Nikkira Brown each scored 15 points to lead the way for the Seminoles, who moved to 5-0.More like this story
