A Thanksgiving celebration

Second graders performed a Thanksgiving-themed musical for a group of retired teachers, community leaders, parents and others before school was dismissed for the holiday. No Thanksgiving celebration would be complete without a feast and pre-k student Kiara Flowers enjoys her turkey and dressing in the school cafeteria. She's eating on a place mat artfully decorated and provided by the students.

Pre-k student Justin Jones digs in and he's even dressed for the occasion. The youngsters made the pilgrim hats while learning about the first Thanksgiving.
