Tim Savage, elected Nov. 8 to the Post 3 seat on the Porterdale City Council, takes the oath of office Thursday night from Mayor Pro Tem and Post 1 City Councilmember Robert Foxworth (left). Savage was elected to fill the unexpired term of Arline Chapman, who resigned and ran a successful campaign for mayor. Savage went to work immediately after the swearing-in, participating in a called meeting of the City Council. Outgoing Mayor Bobby Hamby was unable to take part in the swearing-in due to an illness.
