Little Big Man Blu-ray (PG-13)
Movie: 4 out of 4 stars Disc: 3 out of 4 stars "Little Big Man" is quite simply my favorite movie of all-time and one of the most oddball Westerns ever made. Saturated with black humor that many may mistake for errant drama, the film gets about as close as any ever has at correctly depicting the "Cowboy vs. Indian" thing from the Indian perspective. After the death of his white parents, Jack Crabb (Dustin Hoffman) was raised as a Cheyenne brave and spent the rest of his days splitting time between the two races where he crossed paths with a bizarre cast of characters including Wild Bill Hickok and George Armstrong Custer. The new Blu-ray transfer is spectacular, which makes the lack of extras easier to overlook. Technical specs: aspect ratio: Widescreen (1080p/2.35:1), audio: English (DTS-HD MA 5.1), French (2.0 Dolby Digital Mono), subtitles: English.
