James Crutcher
Dr. James C. Crutcher passed away peacefully at home on October 11, 2011 attended to by his family. He excelled in his many careers. His key positions included: Emory University Professor of Medicine and Professor of Health Science; Atlanta VA Hospital Associate Chief of Medical Services; National VA Chief Medical Director; Brigadier General in US Army Reserve Medical Corps; Regional Health Director for Gwinnett and Rockdale Counties. He was most proud of being a devoted Dad to his children who cherished him. He was pre-deceased by his wife Frances L. Crutcher and his oldest son James M. Crutcher. He is survived by Edith C. Crutcher, the mother of his children, and his remaining children: Carole C. Hauert of Powder Springs, GA; Deborah J. Darugar of Eatonton, GA; Dr. Kenneth L. Crutcher of Little River, SC; and Bruce G. Crutcher of Hazel Green, AL. A private ceremony was held at Arlington Memorial park in Sandy Springs, GA. While we mourn his loss we celebrate his life. LCpl Aaron Michael Fowler of Conyers, passed away October 27, 2011, at the age of 19. LCpl Fowler was on reserve status, having served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a 2010 graduate of Salem High School, in Conyers. LCpl Fowler was a black belt, in karate, and enjoyed riding ATV's, running, playing tennis, riding jet skis, traveling, and sky diving. Survivors include his father, William J. Fowler of Conyers; mother, Sherry Lee Fowler of Covington; and his sister, Alex Fowler of Conyers. Funeral Services for LCpl Fowler will be held Sunday, October 30, 2011, 5:30 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with LtCol Paul Fagan officiating.
