If you're looking for a real sweetie pie, this 7-month-old Beagle is just the ticket. She's has beautiful tri-color markings and was found as a stray. She'd be a great addition to any family. She can be rescued and adopted at Newton County Animal Shelter, located at 210 Lower River Road in Covington. The shelter usually has between 20 to 30 dogs and an equal number of cats eligible for adoption. The adoption fee for a dog or puppy is $25 and $10 for a cat or kitten. Spaying/neutering is mandatory for all animals. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The phone number is 770-786-9514. Anyone who has lost a pet is urged to go to the center and bring a photo of the missing animal.

This little boy is only 3 months old and appears to be a collie/Lab mix. He's been named Storm, but his personality is very calm. He seems to like everybody, even other dogs. He's up-to-date on shots and has been dewormed. He can be rescued and adopted at Rockdale County Animal Care and Control Shelter at 1506 Rockbridge Road in Conyers. At the Rockdale shelter adoption fees for dogs are $30 and $20 for cats. Spaying or neutering is required for adoption.
