OXFORD -- A Newton County School System bus was involved in a traffic accident Monday morning, but no one was injured.
Sherri Davis-Viniard, director of Public Relations at NCSS, said Bus 21-35 was on Macedonia Church Road near Ga. Highway 81 in Oxford when a vehicle exited a residential drive and struck the bus while it was parked at a bus stop.
She said 16 students were on board the bus en route to Palmer Stone Elementary School, and no injuries were reported.
"The bus and the other vehicle sustained minor damage," she added.
The Georgia State Patrol investigated the incident, and no citations were issued, Viniard said.
