Thursday was Field Day for fourth- and fifth-grade students at Palmer Stone Elementary School and the athletes were able to use facilities at Oxford College for the day's activities. Fifth-graders from Amie Cunningham's class Josh Morris and Jacquelyn Graves participate in a water relay event called "Hanging out your dirty laundry," which seems to be offering a bit of a challenge. This year's Field Day is bittersweet as it is the last one for the school. Next year, students will perform the rites of summer at the new Flint Hill Elementary School.
