Dollie Harper 100th Birthday

Dollie Mae Lyons Harper of Rockdale will celebrate her 100th birthday on May 15. She is the wife of the late James Fester Harper.

She is the mother of 10 children: Mrs. Margaret Jackson of DeKalb, Ms. Catherine Dash of Rockdale, Mr. James E. Harper of DeKalb, Mr. Norris D. Harper of Rockdale, Mr. Lawrence J. Harper of Rockdale, Mr. Daniel O. Harper of DeKalb, Mrs. Bessie R. Powell of Rockdale, Mr. Henry C. Harper of DeKalb, Mrs. Annie L. Leonard of DeKalb and the late Mr. William F. Harper.

She gardened, sewed and even fished up until the age of 99 years old. She has two daughter-in-laws, 59 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren. She will celebrate her birthday with family and friends on May 14 at Old Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where she still attends church services.
