The closing of Settler's Grove Road has been delayed due to inclement weather. The road will now be closed at its intersection with Ga. Highway 142 beginning 10 a.m. Monday, April 4, continuing for 60 days, weather permitting, the Georgia Department of Transportation has announced.
The closing is necessary due to an ongoing construction project. A detour will be in place using Waterford Street, Hazelbrand Road and Industrial Boulevard. Advance warning signs and barricades will be located at intersections prior to the closure.
As with all road construction, motorists are advised to use extra caution in construction work zones. The DOT asks motorists to slow down, stay alert and pay attention to and obey all work zone/advisory signs.
