Oxford College freshman and Bonner Leader Program member Liz Cornwell is learning the ancient art of quilting while volunteering at Turner Lake Senior Center. Sharing her expertise Monday morning is senior Kathleen Martin of Covington. The Bonner Leader Program encourages students to engage in ongoing service work and Cornwell comes to the senior center three times a week to work with the members. She said she already knew how to sew, but the seniors taught her how to quilt.
