Earlier this month, 2,400 Georgia DECA members, advisers and supporters gathered together at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis for the 2011 State Career Development Conference.
Attendees participated in a weekend of competitions and leadership sessions that challenged and motivated them to "Expand their Network." This year's conference showcased some of Georgia's leaders, including students from Newton High School. Newton High School had two students, Destiny McFadden and Chelsea Thomas, who placed at state competition and will advance to International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Fla.
