Rockdale Special Olympics gives 220 special needs adults and children opportunities to participate in an array of sports activities.
Special Olympics is free for the athletes but requires funds for equipment, uniforms and transportation.
Special Olympics organizers are asking the community to come out and support the organization by attending the second annual Wine Tasting Dinner fundraiser on April 2 at 6 p.m. at the Meadowbrook Country Club in Conyers.
