Rockdale County Magnet School for Science and Technology students spent the school year visiting residents at the Magnolia House, an assisted living facility for senior citizens. Students interviewed the seniors about their lives. The students became so inspired by the residents' stories that they produced a book, "Bridging the Gap."

COVINGTON -- The Newton County Sheriff's Office has issued a warrant for the second suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery at Bailey's Food Pride on Salem Road.

Covington man shot in arm, hip

A young man was wounded by a gunshot in the arm and hip Friday afternoon on Geiger Street.Lt. Ken Malcom with the Covington Police Department said investigators were interviewing witnesses Friday afternoon to determine the nature of the incident. "We are looking into the possibility that it was an accidental shooting," he said.
