COVINGTON -- The Newton County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in solving the murder case involving Manuel Samano Castillo of Covington.
Castillo, 41, was found stabbed to death by an unknown assailant in his home on May 31 around 11:15 p.m. He had managed to call 911 for help, but died shortly after NCSO deputies arrived on the scene at Lot 14 of Pineridge Mobile Home Park off Ga. Highway 20 in western Newton County.
"We're just hoping the public will call us with some information," said NCSO Lt. Tyrone Oliver. "We're still talking to people and trying to develop leads."
Authorities have stated that Castillo lived at the location with other relatives, including a son, but no one else was at home at the time of the incident.
