COVINGTON -- The man who died from stab wounds in his home at Pineridge Mobile Home Park on Tuesday night has been identified as 41-year-old Manuel Castillo, according to the Newton County Sheriff's Office.
The man was able to call 911 about 11:30 p.m. and ask for help; however, he died shortly after EMS and sheriff's deputies arrived at the home at 5110 Ga. Highway 20 S., Lot 14.
NCSO spokesman Lt. Keith Crum said relatives lived at the home with Castillo, including his son, but no one else was at home at the time of the incident.
"We've been able to locate the two people of interest we were looking for and they've been interviewed," Crum said. "We are now looking for a third person of interest."
Crum said the investigation is ongoing with investigators working around the clock.
"They're developing leads and tracking down information, which leads to more leads and more information," he said, adding that no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
