Staff Photo: Erin Evans. Magician Bill Packard was at Porter Memorial Library on Tuesday for the last special program of the summer. He talked to the audience about stories from all around the world while doing magic tricks. Here, 7-year-old Jefferion Williams, a first-grader at Rocky Plains Elementary School, can't believe his eyes when Packard makes several foam balls disappear. Packard will visit the Covington Library branch at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. today with the same show. Also at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 29, there will be a party to celebrate Harry Potter's birthday at the Covington branch. The public is invited to attend dressed as their favorite muggle or wizard.
