Oak Hill Elementary School second-grader Emily Jenkins just stepped next door when school dismissed Monday to peruse books in the children's section of the Porter Memorial Branch Library on Ga. Highway 212, adjacent to her school. The new branch is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays and from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
