As part of the Title 1 Parent Involvement Program, Live Oak Elementary School invited fathers to spend the morning in their children's classrooms recently. Dads were invited to drop-in anytime between 7:00 and 10:30 a.m. A total of 264 dads, uncles and grandfathers came to visit Live Oak. Teachers planned lessons and activities for the dads and students to participate in together. Dads read with students, led reading and math small group activities and participated in music, art and P.E. classes.
