Students from George Walton Academy will present its winter musical soon.
"Once Upon a Mattress" is the retelling of the story of "The Princess and the Pea" written by Jay Thompson, Marshall Barer and Dean Fuller with music by Mary Rodgers and lyrics by Marshall Barer. It is being presented by special arrangement with Rodgers and Hammerstein Theatricals.
The GWA high school students have worked more than 100 hours together and individually to prepare the musical.
Based loosely on the original children's story, this show is for all ages, reliving the accurate account of Dauntless finding his delicate Princess.
Show times are 7 p.m. today and Feb. 10 and 3 p.m. Saturday.
All performances will be held in the lower gym of the school.
Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for students.
